About Our Network
Mersey Fibre owns and operates its own independent digital network.
Our core network is based in LCRDC’s range of strategic edge data centres throughout the Liverpool City Region and has been constructed by talented and experienced engineers who’ve been connecting up the region since 1994.
To date, we’ve built over 800Gbps of high speed internet throughout the Merseyside area and are adding to it each week as more apartment blocks come on-line.
We operate our own Autonomous Network (AS214627) that is peered at the Liverpool Internet Exchange , London Internet Exchange, LINX Manchester and have transit connections with multiple tier one upstream operators that ensures both network reliability and low latency.
We also operate several eCDN appliances (caches) for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney, that provide a high quality end user experience for live streaming and on-demand “over the top (OTT)” video content.
